This is the prequel to the entertaining Seagrass Sweets series. It's springtime in Paris and Ashley Adams is enjoying her vacation there. Her boyfriend, Serge, is busy at work in the states, so Ashley enrolls in a cooking class to learn how to make the best French pastries. But suddenly the French police arrive at her door charging her of computer hacking and responsible for a nearly one million Euros embezzlement. She learns that Serge has framed her all along for HIS crimes. Now there's a murder ... yes, Ashley is arrested for it! Yikes, can it get any worse for Ashley? This novel sets the stage for her return to Texas. It's very well written and totally entertaining. I love it!
I enjoyed the story and mystery trying to figure out who did it.

Good writing, complex characters. However, Ch 14 ended with Clemence in serious trouble with no apparent way out of it, then Ch 15 opened with the police charging in. Who called them or how else did they know when/where to show up? Is there a chapter missing in between in the ebook version?
